A Short Guide for New Users:

This interface includes a number of bills that are collected under two main categories: Resale Bills and Tax Bills. Only the resale bills are available at this point.

In order to proceed, please first navigate yourself to the drop-down menu on the top left. There, you need to choose a state. Afterward, please use the second drop-down menu to find the relevant bill category.

Then, you may click “select”. The interface will list all the relevant past bills we found so far. If you wish to see the details for a specific bill, you may click the “details” button.

By clicking the “details” button, you will be navigating yourself to a new page that includes further details about the bill.

Notice: Given the fact that not all states provide detailed information about past bills, the amount of information you will be able to find will vary. All the information this interface has is collected from official sources.

If you are willing to see the bill text, then please find the section “Link To Bill Text”.

If you are willing to see the testimony info, please find the section “Testimonies” below the page.

Notice: Given the fact that not all states hold public hearings, and/ or not all bills are heard by committees, and/ or not all states keep the records for past hearings, only some of the bills will have this information.

Information Regarding Testimonies:

Under the section “Testimonies”, you will find information regarding testimonies. If the bill has any oral testimonies provided to a committee, you will find a direct link to the audio/ video recording(s) of the relevant hearing. Please see the subsection “Link to Testimony / Hearing” for the link. Some links may turn out broken after a while. If you detect a broken link, please kindly let us know.

Under the same section, you will see a list of testifiers. There, you will see their names (if audible OR provided by the state), affiliations, positions, and either a timestamp (for oral testimonies) which will show you the exact point that person testifies in the audio/ video recording OR a link (for written testimonies) that will take you to the relevant written testimony. You may only see a text saying “written”. That text is clickable if we have access to that specific written testimony.

Information Regarding the Main Information Chart:

The Main Information Chart is where you will find general information about what this interface presents at the moment. Remember that this interface will be regularly updated.
